When you install a program to your computer, the program's installation files will usually be put in the "Program Files" folder located on your hard drive. When this is the case, various other installation files will then be scattered over a range of folders on your drive and entries will be created in your computer's registry. However, sometimes programs are made so they will install to a single folder. These are known as "Folder Programs" and are usually very easy to delete from your computer.
- Step 1
Close out of the program and any files or applications that may be using the folder program.
Windows will not allow you to delete any files or programs currently open or in use so this is a necessary step. - Step 2
Right-click on the folder containing the program and press "Delete." This will send the folder program to your computer's recycle bin.
- Step 3
Open the Recycle bin and press "Empty Recycle Bin." This command is located in the left pane of the window. Once pressed, you will be asked to confirm your intentions to delete. Press "Yes" and the folder program will be permanently deleted
