This Article will show you how to download and install Avg Antivirus Free Edition on your computer or laptop. This version is free and will protect your computer from viruses and other threats.

- Step 1AVG Free Edition
First you need to download Avg Free Edition. The quickest way to download is to go to download.com and search for AVG Free Edition. You could also go to free.avg.com and follow the links but it will just link you to download.com also, so it is quicker just to go there first.
- Step 2Download AVG
Find the Free Edition and click download now. Once the window pops up click run or save file to your hard drive and run the file. Click run again if you get the Internet Explorer Security Warning.
- Step 3AVG Setup
Choose your Language and click next.
- Step 4AVG Install
Make sure to choose the "Install only basic free protection" on the next screen and then click next. The next part will take awhile depending on your connection speed. It has to download the files it needs for the rest of the installation.

Click on the "I have read the license agreement" checkbox and click accept.
- Step 6Standard Install
