How to Remove Alpha Antivirus

Alpha Antivirus is not a real antivirus software. If fact it is itself a type of malignant program draining your computers resources, stealing passwords, and installing more viruses, all while trying to get you to pay a registration fee. You should remove Alpha Antivirus as soon as possible.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    The first step to remove Alpha Antivirus is to install genuine antivirus and anti-malware software. Antivirus programs include commercial products from Norton and Mcafee as well as a free antivirus named AVG. There are a number of anti-malware products as well, but the Ad-Aware and Malwarebites products are available free and online.

  2. Step 2

    Run your anti-malware software followed by your antivirus software. Remove or quarantine any suspicious files they locate. This will usually remove Alpha Antivirus.

  3. Step 3

    To be certain that the programs did remove Alpha Antivirus press Alt+Ctrl+Delete, then click on Task Manager. You want to make sure you don't see: Alpha Antivirus.exe. If you do, end the process.

  4. Step 4

    To be extra certain that you have completely removed Alpha Antivirus go to the Search, select All files and folders and search for the following list of files:
    %System Root%\Samples
    %User Profile%\Local Settings\Temp
    %Program Files%\Alpha Antivirus
    %Program Files%\LabelCommand
    %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Alpha Antivirus
    %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Application Data\Alpha Antivirus

    If you find any of these files you should delete them.
