If you use a computer that runs Microsoft's Windows operating system, chances are you've got at least one Microsoft software program installed that you haven't quite mastered yet. If you've recently upgraded to Vista or Windows 7, chances are even greater that you've got things to learn, especially if you have a new version of Microsoft Office. Luckily, Microsoft offers a full range of free training courses for Office on its website (Office.Microsoft.com). Each course consists of several lessons, actual practice sessions in the program you're learning and a test (optional, of course) at the end of each course.
- Step 1
Visit Microsoft Office Online (Office.Microsoft.com) and click on the "Help and How-to" tab.
- Step 2
Click on the "Training" link under "How-to Resources" in the navigation menu on the left of the screen.
- Step 3
Find the program you want to learn to use and click on the link. You will be taken to a list of lessons that break down the program into specific functions and tasks that you can learn at your own pace, in whatever order works best for you. Most of them take only 15 to 50 minutes to complete.
