How to Decide To get an SLI Video Card or Not

Not sure Whether or not to get A second Card for your SLI Ready Computer Ill try and Help you out

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Decision Making Machine (Your Brain)
  1. Step 1

    Pros and Cons
Pros: Dual Screen Support, Faster processing of Graphics in Video Games and other CPU Heavy Imaging Processes,
Cons: driver issues, restrictions on mainboards, More space needed in the case.

  2. Step 2

    Whats your Computer Usage Like:
If you are An Avid or Extreme Gamer it will Determine whether adding that second Card in Will Make or Break Your Game play,
Do you Do A lot of Graphic Work in Programs such as photoshop, where having another monitor would help you achieve an easier editing workspace
Sli would be very useful in both of those

  3. Step 3

Can you afford using up more room in your case and can you cool your system well enough, Until both those are a yes you should not get an SLI and instead look into getting something along the lines of liquid cooling or a bigger case

  4. Step 4

Can you Afford the Second Card as well, Buying 2 cards is twice as expensive as one obviously, you may find some good bundle deals and should jump on those if you are for sure going to upgrade

  5. Step 5

Is the Performance worth it, If you computer is just a little slow and you need some speed during high CPU usage programs maybe you should invest in More ram or even a better less ancient CPU if that's the case.
