Windows XP prints photos using the Photo Printing Wizard by default. The Photo Printing Wizard displays all of the photos present in the folder where the picture you are printing is stored. Although you can delete photos found in Windows Explorer by simply returning to Windows Explorer and deleting them, when you attempt to print a photo from an email attachment or website, the Photo Printing Wizard might display photos you are unaware you had, with no obvious way to delete them. This issue occurs because of images stored in your Internet cache.
- Step 1
In Internet Explorer, click the "Tools" menu at the top of the screen, or the "Tools" button in newer versions of Internet Explorer.
- Step 2
Click "Internet Options."
- Step 3
Make sure that the "General" tab is on top, then click the "Delete Files" button.
- Step 4
Place a check in the box labeled "Delete all offline content" and click "OK."
- Step 5
Attempt to print the desired image again. The unwanted images will no longer appear in the Photo Printing Wizard.
